To say it plainly: NCBA Limited is a paralegal organization within the meaning of California Business and Professions Code section 6450. We are not a law firm, we do not practice law, and we do not give legal advice — to our client firms or to their clients. Our people are trained legal-support professionals, and the attorneys we serve remain the sole source of legal judgment in every engagement.

Is NCBA Limited a law firm?
No. NCBA Limited is a paralegal organization within the meaning of California Business and Professions Code section 6450. We do not practice law and we do not give legal advice — every legal support task we perform is directed and reviewed by a supervising licensed attorney.
Who owns the work product?
The law firm does, always. Counsel assigns the task, sets its scope, reviews the result, and files or serves it under the firm’s name. NCBA provides trained hands and disciplined process; the judgment and the work product belong to the attorney.
How is client confidentiality protected?
California Business and Professions Code section 6453 binds paralegals to the same duty of confidentiality that binds attorneys. Our team is trained on that duty, our systems are built to enforce it, and confidentiality obligations bind every member of our team as a condition of their engagement.
What happens when a task requires legal judgment?
It goes to the attorney — immediately. Our teams are trained to recognize the line between disciplined execution and legal judgment, and escalating across that line is treated as doing the job correctly, not failing at it.
